Three Questions To Clear Your Brain

Life is lifey

Often when I talk to clients I hear...  “Well, life has been crazy but… normally…”

And out flows the perfect world scenario. When things are going well and you have time to plan, prep, and focus. You know, when things are running smoothly.

As if this is typical. As if this is life.

The reality is life gets lifey.

Schedules are tossed to the side. There is a birthday. A friend is in crisis. You lose your job. Your kid is sick. You have a vacation. It is the 4th of July. You are going camping. You have a huge deadline. You are moving. You are having a baby. You are going through a breakup. You are having a shitty week. It won't stop raining. You are celebrating. You didn’t sleep. Work is demanding you socialize. You work in sales. You work in politics. A friend comes to visit. It’s October. Work is buying lunch. It’s Tuesday.

And. So. On.

There is so much STUFF thrown at us all the time. That not having it is the exception not the rule.

I am personally speaking from the bottom of the chaos bucket myself. There has been so much going on I feel like I am gripping (barely) by my fingernails. Life is scary and uncertain.

So in times like this how do you stick to the plan? How do you keep moving forward and not wait for "things to settle"?

My answer: Accept.

Accept that THIS is my life right now. There isn’t going to be a magical moment when everything feels okay. Stable. Ready. THIS messiness is my reality.

Next: Prioritize.

My main goal is to build Brain Body Gut.

To do that I actually need to funnel some time and energy. That means taking a realistic look at my calendar and blocking out time. And sticking to it.

So, I present THREE QUESTIONS to clear your brain:

  • What do you need to accept about your life?
  • What is your priority?
  • How do you make time for it?

Take a moment and consider.

It might provide some clarity and let me tell you - from chaos central ground zero - clarity is a start.
